Onions for hair growth

Onion juice treatment :

Onions are very rich in sulfur.Hence the juice of the onions is capable of stimulating hair growth as sulfur increases blood circulation around the body.







How to make onion juice

  • Blend a few onions in the blender(small onions have better medicinal values)
  • Extract the juice with a seiver.
  • Apply the juice on the scalp and leave for  5 mins the first day.
  • When comfortable with the smell and the juice then day by day slowly increase the setting period of the onion juice on the scalp to 20 mins.
  • Use very mild shampoo or very little shampoo to wash off the onion juice.
  • Long and smooth hair will not come over night.Try this method regularly and then see the results in 2 – 3 months.


Sulfur rich foods :very good for hair growth

  1. Vegetables such as broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, kale, Brussels sprouts, turnips, bok choy and kohlrabi are rich sources of sulfur.
  2. Protein-rich foods such as fish, poultry, meats, nuts are not only essential for body building and maintaining healthy skin, hair and nails, but also are good dietary sources of sulfur.
  3. Vegetables such as garlic, onions, leeks and chives, contain  organic compounds that contain sulfur.
  4. Eggs are not only a rich source of protein, they’re high in sulfur, with the white containing the majority. Each egg yolk contains 0.016 milligram of sulfur, and the white contains 0.195 milligram says according to research studies of B.Srilakshmi author of “Food Science”.



Cut a small piece of onion and rub it on the forehead and other places needed before going to bed.
